Hanioti is a popular destination of the Kassandra peninsula, whose name is a synonym for both a peaceful vacation and nightly entertainment.

Located between Polichrono and Pefkohori, Hanioti combines rich tourist infrastructure and beautiful nature, which makes it a place any traveler will be satisfied with.
According to tradition the village was named after its first habitat who came from Hania, Crete and was settled in the old village which is now located in the peninsula of Kassandra, south of today’s village and at a distance of about 2,5 km.
In 1930 the village was moved from its current location due to an earthquake that caused a total disaster.
The area is full of springs and it has a rich flora. The beautiful beach of Hanioti (Chanioti) attracts every year many visitors.
